Memorial Day is just one week away. Of course, it’s a day all Utahns will pause to remember and honor those who have served our country in the Armed Forces. At 24NINE, it has been our opportunity to work with one local Utah business determined to do its part to give back to those who have served our country.

Throughout the month of May, Red Hanger is offering to clean and press military uniforms free of charge to help our vets look their best as they participate in parades, reunions and other events this summer.

“We not only want to run a great company, we want to be a great member of our community,” says Ryan Fish, owner of the 21 Red Hanger locations across the state. “We all love our veterans and they’ve given so much and every day we are blessed by their service, we thought this would be the best way we could give back.”

Gary Harter, the executive director of the Utah Department of Veteran and Military Affairs says there are more then 150,000 veterans living in Utah today and still more than 4,000 who served in World War II. He says support from the business community for our veterans makes a big difference.

“Utah is very patriotic and we celebrate those who wear the uniform today – and those who wore it previously,” says Harter. “Businesses do so much to help our veterans and certainly our veterans will be standing tall and looking great come Memorial Day.”

Monday is just the beginning of the summer patriotic holidays and thanks to Red Hanger, our men and women in uniform will look their best.
