As the special primary election to replace former Congressman Jason Chaffetz pushes through the final days, more and more outside money is being spent to influence the way Utahns in the state’s 3rd congressional district will vote. And those attacks are growing increasingly negative.

Fox13 spoke with 24NINE’s Marty Carpenter, who ran Governor Gary Herbert’s successful re-election campaign last year, to get his thoughts on the impact of negative campaign messages and how Utah voters are likely to react to Super PAC’s meddling in local elections.
